Community Policing Project implemented during 2013 to 2014 and was funded by US State Department and Embassy in Yemen. This project was carried out in nine governorates that targeted the community leaders, local authority leaders, police officers and youth. The main objective of this project was to address the gab and rebuild the confidence between the police and local community for countering violence. 35 police officer and CSOs representative. Nine (9) community forums took place in the nine targeted governorates Abyan, Marib, Shabwah, Hajjah, Sana’a, Hodeida, Lahj, Hadramawt and Aden. The forums focused on the collaboration between the local community and police officers to respect rule of law and countering violent extremism.
